Practical Energy Insights is an independent upstream media, advisory, talent network and industry intelligence platform led by Jonathan Pillet. The website is practicalenergyinsights.com. Privacy questions can be sent to contact@practicalenergyinsights.com.

Information we collect

We may collect information you choose to submit through newsletter, contact, talent network, employer, advisory or other forms. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email, company, LinkedIn profile, discipline, work history, location, availability, certifications, role preferences, CV and information contained in your message.

How we use information

We use submitted information to respond to inquiries, manage newsletter subscriptions, evaluate professional profiles, identify potentially relevant career or consulting opportunities, understand hiring requirements, develop professional relationships and improve PEI services.

Talent network information

Joining the PEI Talent Network does not create an employment relationship and does not guarantee an interview or job. PEI may use professional profile information to evaluate whether a person appears relevant to a recruiter, employer or project requirement. We will not intentionally sell your personal contact information as a standalone data product.

Service providers

This launch package uses FormSubmit as the form delivery service unless your developer replaces it with another processor. Hosting providers, email providers, analytics providers and customer relationship management systems may process information on PEI’s behalf. Each provider may have its own privacy terms.

Analytics and cookies

The base website does not require advertising cookies to function. Essential local storage may remember consent preferences. If analytics or advertising measurement is added, it should be configured to respect the consent choice displayed on the site and the requirements that apply in the visitor’s jurisdiction.

Retention

We may retain business inquiries and professional network information while it remains reasonably useful for the purpose for which it was provided, for relationship management, or as required for legal, accounting or security purposes. You may ask PEI to delete or correct personal information, subject to applicable obligations.

Your choices

You may request access, correction or deletion of personal information held by PEI by contacting contact@practicalenergyinsights.com. Newsletter recipients may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

International use

PEI is intended for an international professional audience. Information may be processed in countries different from the country where you live, depending on the service providers used to host, deliver email, store customer relationship data or process forms.

Security

PEI takes reasonable steps to reduce unauthorized access to information, but no website or email system can guarantee absolute security. Do not submit highly sensitive personal information through general website forms.

Children

This site is directed to working professionals and business audiences, not children. PEI does not knowingly seek personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as PEI adds services, analytics, a customer relationship management platform, paid products or new data processing systems. The current version will be posted on this page.
